I teach sixth grade students mathematical reasoning and problem solving skills. Students collaborate within academic clusters to apply skills, create solutions and present their work to others.  Students currently use iPads and laptops in the classroom.   Students use a Promethean Board and a document camera to share digital projects.  Math textbooks, worksheets, and interactive resources are available online.  Homework assignments and some assessments will be posted on the educational network, My Big Campus.

My family and I volunteer our time and resources to benefit humanitarian causes.  I have worked at a soup kitchen on Thanksgiving Day.  Our entire family has participated in several "Stop Hunger Now" events to package food for needy children.  The digital photographs I capure and share motivate others to get more involved.  I have also worked with "Operation Christmas Child" to prepare gift packages for underprivileged children.
